Deirdre Mellet
Deirdre Mellett is from Claremorris and has been painting for the past 10 years. In 1967 she married Desmond Carrick, renowned painter and secretary of the RHA.
Her depictions of Irish and French countryside are vibrant, spontaneous and full of movement. Her use of colour is similar to that of her husband but her brush stroke is looser, more naive.
Deirdre has exhibited at the Metatron Gallery in Enniskerry, and at many charity shows throughout the country.
